Greetings! 

As we approach the mid-point of the semester it is important that you are aware of how to use all of the tools that we have provided to you to be successful.  As with anything in life, having all of the tools at your disposal but not knowing how to use or not using them can hinder your success to the task at hand.  Here are just a few items to keep in mind as you work through school.

TEACHERS:

We have provided all students with highly qualified teachers that are there to support you.  Remember that you can contact them via the messaging system in Odysseyware and using the Contact Us form at our school website at www.iconschool.org.  In addition all of your teachers have Instant Message addresses and phone contact information for you to use.  Your teacher is just one click away or phone number away to help you. 

CURRICULUM AND CLASSES:

We have provided you with a high quality curriculum that aligns to all of the state standards and meets the requirements for graduation.  We have made course access easy through the portal on our school website at www.iconschool.org.  You are also able to see in one easy location all of the live sessions that your teachers are offering each day of the week for YOU.  You can again find that on our school website under the Class Live Calendar. 

KEEPING YOU INFORMED:

It is important to us that you are kept informed of events and activities that are happening that have an impact on your school day.  You will find current course announcements on our school website under the Announcement Tab.  You can also check the Message of the Day found on your home page in Odysseyware.  You can also find all of the contact information for our central office staff on the Contact Us form on the website. 

TECHNOLOGY:

As an online school ensuring that you have the proper support for your technology needs is vital to your success.  Our current tech manager information is on the school website.  Mr. Perry can also be reached at our Boise office location during the hours of 9:00=3:30 Monday through Friday.  As you work in the Odysseyware curriculum you can also find tech support assistance at the bottom of the OW page under Help.  If you are unsure of who to contact when…give us a call.  We are happy to get you pointed in the right direction.

BOWL O RAMA:

Mark your calendars for 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15th for the first ever ICON Bowl a Rama!  Next week there will be sign-up opportunities and specific location instructions, including virtual options,  posted on our school website.  Hm…I wonder if students will be better bowlers than their teachers?  J
