Announcements for May from the Head of School
Greetings and Welcome to May! There are several items to pay attention to this month.
Greetings,
ICON wishes to thank you for your participation in the ISAT. We realize that for many of you it meant changing schedules and driving to unfamiliar locations. We appreciate your time and effort. For all students in grades 6th-11th your official test results will be mailed to you in June from our school office. In that mailing you will also receive a brochure from the State Department of Education that explains the scores and the scoring process. For those 12th grades that took the ISAT and need to ensure passage of the tests for Spring graduation, we are in the process of obtaining those scores so that we can work with you on your final graduation plan. Again, a BIG thank you to you all!
For those students that are seeking Spring 2013 graduation, as we gather your ISAT results we will also be doing an analysis of your transcript and current work so that we can begin to prepare for graduation. Shirley Williamson and Clayton Trehal will be working closely with you as we approach this special time.
Are you a 9th-12th grader and interested in Summer School? ICON is currently exploring to see if we have enough of an interest to offer a summer school. If you are interested in hearing more about summer school options, please send your name to Vickie McCullough at vickie.mccullough@iconschool.org. Please include what courses you may be interested in taking. We need to hear from you THIS WEEK!
We are busy planning and preparing for next year and we need to hear from you! We need you to share your intentions for next year by following the link below. We hope to increase our student offerings and will have more information about new courses in mid May. Even if you are undecided or not coming back please share your intentions. This allows us to budget and prepare appropriately for the upcoming school year. We hope to hear from you soon!
